New Delhi: The scenic beauty of Kashmir has always been a source of inspiration for many designers but the Hemant-Nandita duo took it to a different level, showcasing the timeless allure of the state's Gulmarg resort through their range that personified undying techniques, delicate embroideries, scenic beauty and extravagant handicrafts and clothing.

Titled "Boho Caravan", the designers shared the whole idea of taking inspiration from the place post their show at Amazon India Fashion Week that is taking place at Pragati Maidan here.

"We visited the Khybar resort in Gulmarg last year and it stayed in our minds. The place was very simple and western from outside but once you visit the place, you will notice the whole ethnic and traditional ambience ... it surprised us," Nandita told reporters.

"The place was done in wood but still there was lot of colours. So, that was the idea that we had and worked on this since last December," she added.

For the autumn-winter 2015, brand Hemant & Nandita projected their love for ethnicity through the art of storytelling. While folk and regional tapestry outlined their collection, 'Boho Caravan' entwines ancestral traditional with bohemian glamour.

Clustering floral thread embroideries, swirling ethnic prints, rich earthy tones with an intricate texture treatments were some of the high points of the entire range.

There was a mix of silhouettes including cosy blanket overcoats and capes that were tied on to dainty maxi dresses and pants, assorted with detailing of swaying fringes and tassels.

Sharing the whole idea of using separates in their range, Hemant said: "We have used lot of separates as it adds to the glamour and street style. Every piece of clothing that we have used can stand even if worn individually."

This collection is deeply rooted into muted tones of dusky brown, smoke grey, olive green, mustard, dull reds. With comfortable tweeds, plaids, velvet and felt highlights, Boho Caravan reflected a true sense of a nomadic woman who is a free-spirited leader with effortless elegance.
