Mumbai: A day prior to the Burger King restaurant launch here, burger lovers can pre-order their feast, courtesy online food ordering platform foodpanda.in.
The chain's restaurant launch in Mumbai is due to be held in Infiniti Mall in Malad here Saturday, and the idea behind the association with foodpanda.in was to deliver their offerings a day prior to the launch.
Burger King will be test-delivering the burgers through foodpanda.in to gauge viability as it looks to offer convenient dining options to its customers.
All orders till Thursday will be delivered by foodpanda's delivery team Friday. What's more? All customers placing their orders through the website will also get a free collectible t-shirt.
“Since the launch of our first restaurant in Delhi last month, we have been getting constant requests from customers to start deliveries, especially from the corporate areas in the city. It has encouraged us to test delivery as an option, learn from it and build our plans from this pilot.
"Malad is a hub for many offices with large employee bases and also a dense residential catchment. This should help us gauge both consumer interest as well as the operations required for scaling up in the future," Uma Talreja, chief marketing officer, Burger King India, said in a statement.
For the first pilot, customers are being exempted from the delivery charges.
Commenting on the association, Rohit Chadda, managing director and co-founder, foodpanda said: “We are thrilled with this association and are eager to serve our customers with the first home experience of a meal from the brand in Mumbai.”
The Burger King India menu offers a wide variety of vegetarian and non-vegetarian burgers.
