New Delhi: The month of Ramadan, is awaited by Muslims all over the world with sheer belief. It ids during these 30 days that members of the Islamic community refraining from eating, drinking, smoking, or indulging in sexual practices from dawn to dusk.  

During this month of June, the fasts can be really hard. In this awful summer, healthy and light food is necessity.

Keeping in mind, the body demands during Ramadan, here is a combination of refreshing green spinach and healthy oats to help during the day’s fast. This easy to make dish will give a relief to all summer sufferers and provide full energy after a dense day.

Recipe of green spinach and oats cutlets.

Ingredients

1 cup oats, 1/2 cup green peas, steamed, 1 cup spinach, chopped,1 green chilli, chopped, finely chopped bunch of coriander leaves ,grated ginger, salt to taste, 1/2 teaspoon black pepper, 1 teaspoon dried oregano, juice of one lemon, oil for cooking

Procedure

1. Take a heavy bottom pan and roast oats until they get proper aroma.

2. In the same pan, sauté chopped spinach until the moisture get evaporated.

3. Add roasted oats, the cooked spinach, green peas, green chillies, coriander, salt and spices according to the taste, pepper oregano and lemon juice in food processor and mix it until it become a combined mixture.

4. Make different shapes of the mixture with the help of some oil on finger tips. You can even use shape instruments for making it presentable.

5. Grease a non stick tawa and preheat on medium heat. Place the cutlets on tawa and cook both sides to make them crispy.

6. Serve them with green chilly chutney or simple tomato ketchup.

Delicious and healthy cutlets are ready to eat with a cup of tea.
