All a woman needs after a tiring week is a rejuvenating facial session. We nullify the glowing effect of a facial by making these skincare mistakes after the session. Just like our regular skincare regime, there are some commandments that need to be followed after getting your facial done.
So, here we’re going to mention few things you need to drop doing after a facial session.
Don’t exfoliate
Use a good quality moisturizer. But don’t exfoliate immediately after a facial. The salon experts already exfoliated the skin during the facial. Over exfoliating can damage your skin and leave dry patches behind.
Steer clear from waxing
If you want to get your face waxed, then get it done 2-3 days prior to the facial session. After facial, the topmost layer of the skin becomes sensitive. Waxing can damage the skin and cause redness. Avoid waxing at any cost after facial. Wait for at least one or two days for facial waxing.

Threading isn’t safe either.
Just like waxing, threading is an aggressive method. It can lead to itching and inflammation on your skin. The freshly massaged skin is delicate. Running a thread over it can cause immense pain and breakouts as well.
Don’t step out in the sun without sunscreen
Avoid going out in the sun at the first place. In case, you need to leave the house during the day, don’t forget to slather a good quality sunscreen on the face and the exposed skin.
Don’t opt for Botox
Botox after the facial is the biggest skin disaster. Getting a Botox soon after the facial can lead to breakouts and acne. Postpone the Botox appointment for at least 3 days after the facial session.

Don’t try new products
Your skin is already sensitive after the facial. Using new products can lead to allergic reactions and breakouts. Keep your hands off the new products for at least one week after facial session.
A big NO to chemical peels
There’s a strict no on using chemical peels on the skin before or after a facial. It can cause allergies and inflammation on the skin.
