In case you are just like us, stuck in a 9-to-5 job, following a healthier lifestyle isn't a choice. Healthy lifestyle and eating a balanced diet is essential in today's rising clamour. This is because vitamin and mineral supplements are helpful in keeping each individual fit and healthy. Sharing a piece of advice here, make healthy mason jars filled with dry fruit, granola cookies, puffed rice and things like that of your choice.

Mentioned below are a few more suggestions on healthy food items you should definitely consume for a healthier lifestyle!

Fruit - Apples, berries, melons, pears, grapes, avocados, bananas, grapefruit, and oranges. Include any of these two fruits every day in your diet to start acting on your balanced diet and see the results.

Dairy products - Try low fat or skim milk, nonfat cottage cheese, yogurt, high-fat cheeses.

Vegetables - Consume a lot of veggies in your diet to have a healthy immune system. Choose from a variety of vegetables of your choice -broccoli, squash, bell peppers, tomatoes, lettuce, spinach, other green, leafy vegetables, carrots, sweet potatoes, onions, and asparagus.

Healthy whole grains - Oatmeal, 100 percent whole grain bread and cereals, brown rice, tortillas, pasta.

Oils and fats - Balanced diet also mean consuming organic oil like olive or sunflower and little amount of fats be it ghee or butter.

Lean meat, poultry, and fish - Salmon, mackerel, shellfish, turkey and chicken, eggs, dry beans, and nuts are equally important.

Along with eating a balanced diet, it is important that you keep trying to maximize the positive effects by changing your other lifestyle habits. Exercise or any other physical activity improves cardiovascular health, reduces weight, builds strength and stamina and rejuvenates the immune system, it can also help alleviate depression and even add brain cells. Seeking all these health benefits, we don't ask you to start gyming rigorously but rather start by a small walk. Taking a walk every day or doing basic yoga is equally effective.
