Sabyasachi reveals intricate details about Priyanka Chopra’s breath-taking wedding lehenga

There is no denying that Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas had the most talked about and the dreamiest wedding of the year. From custom-made Ralph Lauren gown for the white wedding to breath-taking Sabyasachi design for the Hindu ceremony, Bollywood diva Priyanka Chopra lived the most beautiful days of her life like a queen. Just when the pictures and videos of the lovestruck couple’s wedding surfaced the internet, fans and well-wishers couldn’t stop talking about the Kanauj-Rose lehenga that PeeCee wore for her Hindu wedding.

Now, the designer of that beautiful piece, Sabyasachi, himself has revealed the story behind Priyanka Chopra’s gorgeous lehenga. Taking to his Instagram, Sabyasachi shared a video of the making of the lehenga in which he revealed all the intricate details from Nick Jonas’ name sewn on the garment to the days it took to prepare the outfit. According to the people.com, it took 110 embroiders from Calcutta to help make the bride, Priyanka Chopra’s wedding attire. “For the Indian wedding, I wore Sabyasachi. I always knew I wanted a red traditional silhouette for my wedding but Sabya brought in incredible French embroidery to the mix and with incredible jewelry and Western-inspired veil it was just such an amalgamation of who I am,” Priyanka Chopra told people.com.

The groom Nick Jonas, on the other hand, wore the Indian traditional silk sherwani along with the Syndicate diamond necklace from the Sabyasachi Heritage Jewelry Collection. Sabyasachi himself took to Instagram to share the details of the wedding. Check out the post here-

Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas’ wedding was a three-day extravaganza from November 30 to December 2. There were 225 guests in all at the epic weekend wedding at the majestic Umaid Bhawan Palace. These included Nick's brothers Kevin with wife Danielle, Joe with fiancee and actress Sophie Turner and Frankie along with Priyanka's brother Siddharth. The festivities -- which also included a friendly cricket match -- were all planned by Sandeep Khosla and Aditya Motwane, respective founder-owners of Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla and Motwane Entertainment & Weddings.
