When it comes to staying grounded despite the stardom, Deepika Padukone is one of the few names that pops up in our mind. The actress has always preferred staying close to the ground despite the accolades she’s been winning for her back to back superhits. Once again the Padmaavat actress has proved that she’s just like the rest of us. She repeats old clothes like it’s the new cool in the fashion industry. We’ve seen her repeating her outfits a number of time and everytime she does that, we can’t help but praise her.
On Tuesday, Deepika Padukone attended the Met Gala 2018 in a cardinal red Prabal Gurung gown. Although her look wasn’t well appreciated by many of the fashion police on social media, the actress was surely looking drop dead gorgeous in red. Shaleena Nathani might have missed the theme- Heavenly Bodies: Fashion & The Catholic Imagination, but Deepika Padukone’s after party look is getting some praises.

She wore a shimmery mustard velvet blazer with an inbuilt black belt highlighting her waistline. Her makeup and hair remained the same, however, she switched her lipstick from red to nude. Looking closely at the blazer, we were reminded that the actress wore the same blazer in January this year.
Some might criticize Deepika Padukone for not trying anything new for such a big ticket event, but we believe that she deserves a medal for not having any qualms in repeating the clothes she like.
In January, she repeated a saree to the HT Style Awards which she wore at her close friend’s wedding. The saree is indeed special for her as it was gifted to her by veteran actress Rekha.
