While we were still not over Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone’s pictures from their wedding and mehendi ceremonies at Lake Como, Italy that the couple gave us another reason to keep staring at them with their drop-dead gorgeous looks at their Bengaluru reception. Last night was loaded with glamour and fun when Ranveer and Deepika hosted their wedding reception in Bengaluru and looked like the perfect King and Queen. Other than being magical, the party was left everyone starry-eyed by the way Ranveer and Deepika were dressed.
While Ranveer Singh beautifully complemented his new bride in a heavily embroidered black and gold Rohit Bal sherwani, Deepika Padukone took away all the limelight in her Advaya pure zari gold Kanjivaram silk saree from The House of Angadi, designed by K Radharaman and paired it with white pearls by Sabyasachi. They looked resplendent and elegant in every frame.
Undoubtedly, Deepika had all eyes stuck to her, however, her look gave us a feeling of Déjà vu since Kangana Ranaut had already aced the same gold saree look at Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli’s wedding reception. Just like Deepika, Kangana had worn the saree with a creamy white long-sleeved blouse and complimented it with a bun. The only difference was that while Deepika sports a middle parting to flaunt that sindoor, Kangana looked gorgeous in a side-parted bun. Looks like Deepika took the inspiration from the Queen of hearts Kangana Ranaut for her Bengaluru reception look.
From the power couple making a royal entry at the venue in color-coordinated outfits to all the sports stars coming together to wish the newlyweds, everything about last night was magical. Just when Ranveer and Deepika walked into the hotel, hundreds of frenzied fans greeted them and cheered the celebs walking in, with bouncers keeping the boisterous crowd at bay. Former cricketers Anil Kumble, Venkatesh Prasad, badminton star P.V. Sindhu were also present at the grand event. The couple posed for media persons before heading for the gala reception at the luxury hotel in the city's eastern suburb, which was decked up with lights and floral arrangements. Continuing their theme from their Italy wedding, here also the duo loaded the decorations with red roses.
