Netizens tell us about the special woman in their life
On the occasion of International Women's Day 2019, India TV encouraged netizens to mention the special woman in their life. We asked them to share a selfie on social media and tell us why they hold a special place in their life. Those interested in participating had to use the hashtags, ''#WomanInMyLife and #WomensDayWithIndiaTV''. From wife, sister to maid, people took to social media to pen down 'why she is the one'. The contest received a huge response and we have shortlisted few among them. An Instagram account that goes by the user id rima.gargg shared an adorable selfie with her house helper and wrote, ''she is inspiration not only to me but many working maid's like her who quit easily after a setback. A proud smile on her face inspire me to be confident in every weak situation''.

For uninitiated, Women's Day is celebrated to root for achievements of women and push for gender equality. The day celebrates the political, cultural, economic and social achievements of ladies. Women organisations, NGOs, corporations, charities and governments join hands to cheer for gender parity. The day is marked with different events such as art performances, talks, rallies, networking events, conferences and marches across the globe.
