Karnataka: Union Minister Niranjan Jyoti met with an accident after her car collided with a truck in Vijayapura district.
According to reports, the minister was safe, however, the driver received minor injuries. Both, the driver and minister have been taken to hospital.
The accident took place on Vijayapura-Hubballi National Highway near Umanala village. After the accident, traffic on NH-50 was disrupted. SP Vijayapura said that the driver of truck was drunk and is taken into the custody.
