Karnataka: In a shocking incident, a truck loaded with tomatoes went missing while it was traveling from Karnataka's Kolar to Rajasthan's Jaipur. The incident came into the limelight amid the soaring price of tomatoes. As per reports, the truck was carrying tomatoes worth Rs 21 lakhs.
In Karnataka's Kolar, the truck was loaded with tomatoes at the Agricultural Produce and Livestock Market Committee (APMC). According to a report of TV9 Kannada, the owner of the truck, named- Sadiq, who owns Mehat Transports had installed a Global Positioning System (GPS) tracker in the truck to trace its movement.
As per the report, the truck was found in Gujarat. The driver, Anwar allegedly removed the GPS tracker and drove it to Ahmedabad. He then sold the tomatoes for half the price. The owner of the vehicle is en-route to Ahmedabad to find hid missing vehicle.
