Karnataka Congress chief DK Shivakumar was seen showering Rs 500 currency notes on artists who were performing during his election campaign in Mandya district on Tuesday. The incident took place on the occasion of 'Praja Dhwani Yatra'.
According to a video shared by the news agency ANI, the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) president was seen showering five hundred rupees notes on cultural dancers present close to his rally vehicle.
According to reports, the BJP grabbed onto the opportunity to slam the leader for this act.
Voting will be conducted on May 10 while counting of votes would be held on May 13, the Election Commission announced earlier in the day. All parties are gearing up to escalate their poll campaigns. The assembly elections will be conducted at all 224 constituencies in the state. The Congress, Janata Dal (Secular) and Aam Aadmi Party have already announced the first list of their candidates for the assembly elections.
