Lok Sabha Elections 2024: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is expected to win 16 Lok Sabha seats in Karnataka, the Congress may get 10 while Janata Dal (Secular) may secure 2 seats if general elections are held today, according to India TV-CNX opinion poll.

According to the survey, the BJP may get 44 per cent vote share in Karnataka while Congress may get 40 per cent, and JDS is likely to get 11 per cent.

In 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the BJP had won 25 seats, therefore, if these projections replicate the exact results whenever the elections are held, then the BJP may lose 9 seats in comparison to the previous general elections while Congress may gain 9. Karnataka has a total of 28 Lok Sabha seats.

Speaking about neighbouring Tamil Nadu, the survey predicts 31 per cent vote share for DMK and 25 per cent for AIADMK. The Congress is likely to get 11 per cent votes and BJP may only secure 7 per cent.

In terms of seats, the DMK may win 21, AIADMK is expected to get 6.

Earlier in July, a survey conducted by India TV-CNX predicted a massive victory for the Modi-led NDA alliance. The Lok Sabha elections are due to be held during April-May period in 2024.
