Bengaluru News: A 30-year-old woman jumped off a moving Rapido bike to save herself from the driver in Bengaluru, an official said on Wednesday.
She alleged that the driver tried to grope her and snatched her phone. The incident happened on April 21.
After the incident, the woman filed a police complaint. According to the report, she booked a bike to Indiranagar and the driver allegedly took her phone on the pretext of checking OTP and started driving in the wrong direction. Despite the victim kept asking why he was travelling in the wrong direction, he remained silent.
The victim finally jumped off the moving bike and the biker fled away. In the CCTV footage, the victim is seen jumping off the bike to save herself from the molester.
The accused driver Deepak was arrested and sent to judicial custody.
