In a daring daylight heist in Bengaluru, a staggering sum of ₹13 lakh was stolen from a parked BMW car, revealing that even expensive vehicles are not safe from audacious criminals. The incident, which took place outside the Sub Registrar's office in Sharjapur, Bengaluru, was captured on CCTV cameras. Footage shows a BMW car parked near the registry office when two young men approach it. While one of the men stands by the car, the other appears to be inspecting it. The latter swiftly retrieved an object from his pocket, and in a matter of seconds, the car's window was shattered.
After gaining access to the car, the thieves managed to make off with ₹13 lakh in cash. They left the scene on a motorcycle and have managed to evade capture so far. The police have launched a thorough investigation into the incident, and they believe that someone with prior knowledge of the large sum of money inside the vehicle may have tipped off the thieves.
Although no arrests have been made in connection with the theft, the police are actively pursuing leads and examining CCTV footage to identify the culprits. This brazen daylight robbery serves as a stark reminder of the importance of vehicle security, regardless of the car's make or value.
