Delhi Police Recruitment: The Delhi Police Department is preparing for the recruitment process for the various posts in the Junior Ranks. According to an official statement, over 13,000 vacancies will be filled by next year, and around 500 vacancies will be occupied by female personnel. Out of the total vacancies, More than 3,500 vacancies will be filled by the end of this year and the rest by the middle of 2024. The directions to fill up the vacant positions have been given by Delhi LG VK Saxena.
According to an official statement, around 13,013 vacant posts of head constables and constables in Delhi Police will be filled by July 2024. Out of the total vacancies, 3,521 are in the advanced stage of recruitment and are expected to be filled by December 2023.
“Thanks to the decisive push by the L-G, 3,521 posts are in the advanced stage of recruitment and are expected to be filled by December 2023,” an official said.
More than 3,500 vacancies will be recruited this year
Accordingly, vacancies were advertised following which written exams, PE & MT, and typing tests were conducted. These posts are to be filled in a phased manner between December 2023 and July 2024. Over 800 vacancies for the post of Head constable will be recruited of which 559 vacancies are for males and 276 are for females. Over 1,400 constable drivers, and 857 Head Constable Wireless Operators or Tele Printer Operators will also be recruited.
Moreover, 418 technical posts including Photographer, Draftsman, Store, Fitter, Mast Lasker, MT Helper, MT Storeman, and others, and 840 multi-tasking staff vacancies are also being filled.
Notification for 1,799 vacancies soon
A notification for recruitment to the 1,799 vacancies will be released soon. However, the department has yet not given the estimated date of releasing the notification. The department is already in the process of filling 11,214 vacancies in various departments. A notification for 1,799 vacancies will be advertised soon, said officials.
