NEET-UG paper leak: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has detained a first-year medical student from Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) in Jharkhand's Ranchi in connection with the NEET-UG paper leak case. The CBI team is currently interrogating the female medical student. The CBI, which is investigating the NEET paper leak case, received information that the first-year student from RIMS was involved with the "solver gang."

Acting on this information, the CBI team raided the RIMS hostel late Thursday night (July 18). The team went to the girls' hostel at RIMS and detained the first-year MBBS student into custody. Dr Rajiv Ranjan, PRO RIMS, confirmed the development and said that the student belonged to the 2023 batch which is a first-year student and she is now under the custody of CBI.

"They initially approached the administration for some initial information from the student and afterwards yesterday they again approached for further investigation in the same and then they proceeded with the custody of the student. The communication is approached by the CBI only for any further information. In this case, the administration will give full support and whatever information is needed will be given to them whenever they approach but till now after the custody, there is no such thing," he added.
