Jharkhand: Over 24 IAS officials transferred in major bureaucratic reshuffle | List

The Jharkhand government has transferred nearly two dozen IAS officers in a significant reshuffle. Notable changes include Nitin Madan Kulkarni being reassigned, with Vipra Bhal stepping in as the Principal Secretary to the Governor.

Bureaucratic reshuffle in Jharkhand: A few months before the Assembly elections, the Jharkhand government carried out a significant bureaucratic reshuffle, transferring over two dozen IAS officers. Among them was Nitin Madan Kulkarni, the Principal Secretary to the Governor, who was replaced by Vipra Bhal at Raj Bhavan.

Bhal, a 2006-batch IAS officer, who was serving as Secretary to the Information Technology and E-Governance Department, has been transferred and appointed as the Principal Secretary to the Governor, according to a notification issued by the Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms late Saturday night.

Kulkarni, on the other hand, has been appointed as the Principal Secretary of the Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, and Cooperative Department.

Here's list of  IAS officials transferred

  • Mast Ram Meena, currently the Principal Secretary of the Planning and Development Department, will also take on the additional role of Principal Secretary of the Drinking Water and Sanitation Department.
  • Sunil Kumar, serving as the Principal Secretary of the Road Construction Department, will continue to hold the additional responsibilities of Principal Secretary of the Urban Development and Housing Department, Managing Director of JUICO, and Managing Director of the Greater Ranchi Development Agency (GRDA).
  • Amitabh Kaushal, the Secretary of the Food, Public Distribution, and Consumer Affairs Department, has been appointed as Secretary of the Information Technology and E-Governance Department. According to the notification, he will also continue to hold the additional charge of Secretary of the Commercial Tax Department in Jharkhand, Ranchi.
  • Manish Ranjan, Secretary of the Building Construction Department (with additional charge as Managing Director of the Jharkhand State Building Construction Corporation Limited, Ranchi), will now serve as Director of the Administrative Training Institute, Jharkhand, Ranchi.
  • Rajesh Kumar Sharma, currently Secretary of the Drinking Water and Sanitation Department, will be the new Secretary of the Disaster Management Department.
  • Abu Bakr Siddiqui, the Secretary of the Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, and Cooperative Department, has been transferred to the role of Secretary of the Forest, Environment, and Climate Change Department.
  • Manoj Kumar, currently the Secretary of the Child Development and Social Security Department, will continue to hold the additional charge of Secretary of the Excise and Prohibition Department until further notice.
  • Arwa Rajkamal, Secretary to the Chief Minister of Jharkhand, has been reassigned as Secretary of the Building Construction Department. In addition, Rajkamal will also hold the additional responsibilities of Managing Director of the Jharkhand State Building Construction Corporation Limited, Ranchi, and Resident Commissioner at Jharkhand Bhawan, New Delhi. 
  • Jitendra Kumar Singh, Secretary of the Mines and Geology Department, will also take on the additional role of Secretary of the Industries Department.
  • Uma Shankar Singh, the in-charge Secretary of the School Education and Literacy Department, will also handle the additional responsibilities of Secretary-in-charge of the Food, Public Distribution, and Consumer Affairs Department.
  • Amit Kumar, the Municipal Commissioner of the Ranchi Municipal Corporation, has been appointed as the Commercial Tax Commissioner.
  • Manjunath Bhajantri, previously the Administrator of the Subarnarekha Project in Jamshedpur, has been transferred to the role of Chief Executive Officer of the Jharkhand State Livelihood Promotion Society (JSLPS) and will also take on the additional responsibility of MNREGA Commissioner in Jharkhand, Ranchi.
  • Amit Prakash, Special Secretary of the Labour, Planning, Training, and Skill Development Department, has been appointed as Excise Commissioner and will continue to serve as Managing Director of the Jharkhand State Beverage Corporation.
  • Sandeep Singh, from JSLPS, Ranchi, is the new Municipal Commissioner of the Ranchi Municipal Corporation and will continue to hold the additional charge of Vice-Chairman of the Ranchi Regional Development Authority (RRDA).
  • Shailendra Kumar Lal, the Municipal Commissioner of Hazaribagh Municipal Corporation, has been appointed as Mission Director-cum-Chief Executive Officer of the Jharkhand Skill Development Mission Society.
  • Sunil Kumar Singh, the Excise Commissioner of Jharkhand, Ranchi, has been transferred to the role of Additional Secretary of the Labour, Planning, Training, and Skill Development Department.
  • Ananya Mittal, Deputy Commissioner of East Singhbhum, Jamshedpur, will also take on the additional responsibility of Administrator of the Subarnarekha Project, Jamshedpur.
  • Sameera S, who was awaiting a posting, has been appointed as Director-cum-Member Secretary of the Jharkhand State Child Protection Institute and will also hold the roles of Director General of the State Nutrition Mission, Chief Executive Officer of the Jharkhand State Watershed Mission, and Director of Social Security, Jharkhand, Ranchi.
  • Ravi Anand, who was also awaiting a posting, has been assigned the role of Joint Secretary in the Personnel and Administrative Reforms Department.
  • Deepak Kumar Dubey, who was serving as Deputy Development Commissioner-cum-Chief Executive Officer of the District Board in Giridih, has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Urban Development and Housing Department, Jharkhand.
  • Saurabh Kumar Bhuwania, who was awaiting a posting, has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Finance Department, Jharkhand.
  • Alok Kumar, also awaiting a posting, will now serve as Joint Secretary in the Home, Jail, and Disaster Management Department, Jharkhand, Ranchi.
  • Shatabdi Majumdar, who was awaiting a posting, has been appointed as Under Secretary in the Finance Department, Jharkhand, Ranchi.
