Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren to release first installment of 'Maiya Yojana' on August 18

Mukhyamantri Maiya Samman Yojana: Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren directed officials to immediately address and rectify any errors in the application process to ensure that no eligible woman is deprived of the benefits.

Mukhyamantri Maiya Samman Yojana: Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren will transfer the first installment of Rs 1,000 each to the bank accounts of women beneficiaries in Pakur district under the 'Mukhyamantri Maiya Samman Yojana' on August 18, a day before Raksha Bandhan.

After the initial transfer in Pakur district, the process of disbursing the assistance amount to beneficiaries in other districts will commence. During a review meeting on Thursday at his residence, Chief Minister Soren provided officials with essential instructions to ensure the effective implementation of the scheme.

Women to get Rs 1000 every month

The Chief Minister emphasised that women applying for the 'Mukhyamantri Maiya Samman Yojana' should be notified about the receipt and approval of their applications. He instructed that beneficiaries receiving the financial assistance should be informed via SMS. Additionally, he highlighted the need for awareness messages to protect women from potential cyber fraud targeting recipients of the DBT scheme. Under this initiative, women aged 21 to 50 will receive financial assistance of Rs 1000 per month, amounting to Rs 12, 000 annually.

The 'Mukhyamantri Maiya Samman Yojana' in Jharkhand aims to benefit 48 lakh women statewide. As of now, officials reported receiving 36,69,378 applications through special camps, with 20,37,754 applications approved. 

Special camps to continue till Aug 18 

Chief Minister emphasised the need to resolve any issues in the application process promptly to ensure no eligible woman is left out. He also directed that special camps continue until August 18.

Soren said that the 'Mukhyamantri Maiya Samman Yojana' is an ongoing initiative, allowing eligible beneficiaries to apply online through Pragya Kendras at any time. He emphasised the importance of transferring the assistance amount on a fixed date each month. 

The review meeting, attended by Chief Secretary L Khiangte, Additional Chief Secretary Avinash Kumar, Secretary Manoj Kumar, and IT Secretary Vipra Bhal, also included Deputy Commissioners from all districts via video conference.
