Terrorists shot at a non-local labourer at Batgund village of Tral in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district on Thursday morning. The labourer named Shubham Kumar belonged to Uttar Pradesh's Bijnor. He got a minor injury in the right hand. Soon after the firing incident, he was shifted to a nearby hospital. According to the information, he is out of danger.
Notably, this marks the third incident of attack on non-local labourers in Kashmir in the past week. The Police are ascertaining the reason for the injury. Notably, the incident comes days after seven individuals, a doctor and six labourers, were killed by terrorists in Ganderbal. During the attack, the terrorists struck a tunnel construction site on the Srinagar-Leh national highway in Ganderbal.
Meanwhile, Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha said two foreign terrorists, who have possibly infiltrated from north Kashmir's Bandipora area, were involved in the deadly attack. The unidentified terrorists carried out the attack when the labourers and other staff working on the tunnel project at Ganderbal's Gund had returned to their camp late in the evening.
Sinha said police and other security forces have been given instructions and full freedom to track down and eliminate the perpetrators of the heinous act.
