Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police in a joint operation busted a terror module in Rajouri on Wednesday. In an intelligence-based joint operation in the Budhal area yesterday, two hardcore terrorist associates were arrested.
The armed forces recovered one pistol, two magazines, 28 rounds, two hand grenades and other war-like stores, the Defence PRO said.
Some other items such as clothes and a wire cutter were recovered from a nearby forest at their disclosure, it added.
"In a relentless intelligence-based joint operation by Indian Army and JKP, South of Pir Panjal Ranges in Budhal area on 06 Dec 2023, led to the apprehension of two hardcore terrorist associates along with One pistol, two magazines, 28 bullets, two hand grenades and other War like stores," the PRO statement read.
Jammu-based Army PRO Lt Col Suneel Bartwal said the arrest of the two "hardcore terrorist associates" busted a terror module as a result of a relentless intelligence-based joint operation by the Army and the police.
The police said Mohd Farooq and Mohd Nazir were arrested during a search and cordon operation in Behrote village of the district's Budhal area.
