Jammu and Kashmir Police has attached the properties, land worth lakhs belonging to two terror handlers based in Pakistan in Baramulla, the police said on Tuesday (May 14). The terror handlers were identified as Mohd Arif Badal and Mohd Bashir. The action was taken under sections of 83 CRPC.
"Police in Baramulla attached properties (1 Kanal & 11 Marlas) land worth lakhs belonging to 2 terror handlers based in Pakistan namely Mohd Arif Badal and Mohd Bashir. The action was taken under sections of 83 CRPC. The property was identified as belonging to terror handlers during the investigation," the police said.
Earlier this month, in a significant crackdown on terrorist infiltration in Kashmir, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) took an action against a top terrorist associated with the banned Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) group in Jammu and Kashmir and attached his six immovable properties.
"The properties (land parcels) belonging to terrorist Asif Ahmed Malik are located in Mirpora, Pulwama. They have been attached under Section 33 (1) of the UA (P) Act, 1967, on the orders of NIA Special Court, Jammu," the agency said in its statement.
