The security forces on Saturday (August 26) launched a search operation in the forest area of Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district after a suspicious movement was detected near the Line of Control (LoC), the officials said.
The Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police launched a joint search operation in Chamrer and Gangna Top in the Buflaiz sector around 6 am, they added.
They fired a few rounds in the Chamrer forest area on observing some suspicious movement, however, there was no retaliation from the other end, the officials said.
Reinforcements have been sent to the spot of search operation to conduct a thorough search operation, they added.
