Gulmarg: Gulmarg, a world-famous tourist destination in Jammu and Kashmir, has experienced its first snowfall of the season. Fresh snowfall has been reported in the higher regions of Kashmir Valley, including Peer Ki Gali, Zojila, and Gulmarg, while the lower areas are experiencing rain.
With the fresh snowfall, weather conditions in Kashmir have once again changed. The mountainous areas have been experiencing heavy snowfall since last night, while the plains have recorded significant temperature drops due to persistent heavy rain. The weather is expected to remain unsettled for the next 24 hours, according to the Meteorological Department.

The streets and houses were wrapped in a white blanket. Roads were covered with thick sheets of snow making it extremely challenging for the vehicles to move.
Mughal Road closed
As a precaution, Kishtwar-Anantnag and Mughal Road have been closed for traffic after snowfall in high-altitude areas. Snowfall between Poshana and Peer Ki Gali led to the highway being closed. The highway connects the twin districts of Poonch and Rajouri in Jammu with south Kashmir's Shopian district. Some vehicles that were stranded due to the snowfall were removed by the authorities.

The Western Disturbance as a trough in middle tropospheric westerlies runs roughly along Long. 70°E to the north of Lat. 26°N. Under its influence scattered to fairly widespread rainfall or snowfall over Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh-GilgitBaltistan-Muzaffarabad and Himachal Pradesh on November 10.
