An encounter broke out between security forces and terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir's Kulgam area on Friday. According to the Kashmir Zone Police, the incident occurred in high reaches of the Halan forest area of the region. Three jawans were injured and evacuated to the hospital for treatment, they added.
The police said that two terrorists are still trapped in the area and a search operation has been launched.
Earlier in the day, the Kashmir Zone Police informed about the beginning of the encounter at high reaches of the Halan forest area of Kulgam district and said that the Army and Kulgam police are on the job.
