Reasi: A person was killed and three others were injured on Thursday after a car they were travelling in skidded off the road and rolled down into a gorge in Jammu and Kashmir's (J-K) Reasi district, police said. According to officials, four people were on board the car when the accident took place.
Driver lost control
The driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle on the Judda to Kouri route near Sawalla Nalla. The vehicle subsequently fell into a gorge at Arnas. One person died and three others were injured in the accident. The identities of the victims have not been confirmed yet. Further details are awaited.
Terrorists attack on bus
Earlier on June 9, terrorists opened fire on a 53-seater bus carrying pilgrims when it was en route to the Mata Vaishno Devi shrine in Katra from the Shiv Khori temple in Jammu and Kashmir's Reasi district. The 53-seater vehicle veered off the road and fell into a deep gorge following the gunfire.
Nine persons, including seven pilgrims from Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Delhi, were killed and 41 injured in the attack when the terrorists opened fire on the bus carrying pilgrims returning from Shiv Khori shrine near Teryath village in the Pouni area.
