Srinagar: In a joint operation, the Indian Army, Jammu and Kashmir Police, and intelligence agencies thwarted an infiltration attempt along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Uri sector of Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday. This operation took place in the Uri sector, located in the Baramulla district in north Kashmir, where the alert troops acted swiftly to prevent armed terrorists from infiltrating into Indian territory.
According to the Indian Army's Chinar Corps, contact was established with the infiltrating terrorists and a firefight between the security forces and the militants ensued.

"In a Joint Operation launched by #IndianArmy, @JmuKmrPolice & Intelligence agencies on 21 Oct 23, an infiltration bid was foiled by alert troops along #LoC in #Uri sector, Baramulla,” the Srinagar-based Chinar Corps of the Army wrote in a post on X.
The army also seized six pistols and four hand grenades from them. The operation is currently underway.
