Additionally, ageing can lead to decreased production of stomach acid, which is necessary for the absorption of this vitamin. 

What is the normal level of vitamin B12?

Vitamin B12 supports blood cells and is also helpful in DNA production. Let us tell you that the level of vitamin B12 between 200 pg/mL and 900 pg/mL is considered normal in any man and woman. Whereas in the elderly, the range of 300 to 350 pg/mL is considered correct.
