In Ayurveda, the fruit, seeds, stem and leaves of jamun are used. All these things prove beneficial in diabetes too. You can make powder of jamun seeds and use it. Sugar can be controlled by using jamun leaves.

Use of jamun leaves in diabetes

In diabetes, you can drink the juice of jamun leaves. For this, pluck fresh leaves extract the juice and drink it on an empty stomach in the morning. This will help in controlling diabetes. If you want, dry the leaves and make a powder. Take the powder with water in the morning and evening. You can also make tea from jamun leaves. Boil the leaves in water, filter it and drink it like lukewarm tea.

Benefits of jamun leaves in diabetes

Jamun leaves contain jambolin compound which helps in controlling blood sugar. Antioxidants are found in jamun which protect against damage caused by free radicals. Jamun leaves protect against oxidative stress which increases blood sugar. Jamun leaves contain flavonoids, anti-inflammatory and tannin properties which reduce the problem of inflammation and pain. Jamun leaves also boost the process of insulin production.
