Pistachios are very tasty to eat. Some people snack on pistachios. But pistachios do not suit everyone, some people may face problems by eating the popular nuts.

Pistachios are one of the most delicious dry fruits. People like the salty taste of pistachios. Some people eat a lot of pistachios without counting. Essential nutrients like potassium, magnesium, phosphorus, copper, antioxidants, protein, vitamin B6, fibre, calcium, and iron are found in pistachios. By eating pistachios you will feel energetic throughout the day. This will help in removing fatigue and weakness from the body. Even though pistachios have so many benefits, pistachios do not suit some people.  Let us know which people should not eat pistachios.

Who should not eat pistachios?

Allergy patients – Pistachios have a hot nature. In such a situation, those who are allergic to nuts or seeds should not eat pistachios. This may cause digestive problems. If you are allergic, do not eat pistachios without a doctor's advice.

Kidney patients- If there are kidney stones then pistachios should not be consumed. A compound called oxalate is found in pistachios which can cause the problem of kidney stones. Those who have problem of kidney stones should not eat pistachios. This may cause stones to form again.

Those who want to lose weight – Those who want to reduce obesity should eat a minimum amount of pistachios. Eating more pistachios increases calories. Eating pistachios can increase obesity instead of reducing it. That means people who are on a weight loss journey or diet should avoid pistachios. 

In case of digestive problems – Some people have digestive problems and should not eat pistachios. Eat pistachios less especially during summer. Its nature is hot, which can cause problems like indigestion, acidity and constipation. Eating too many pistachios can cause heat in the stomach.

On taking regular medication for any disease –  People who are taking regular medication for any disease should take a doctor's advice before including pistachios or any such food in their diet. Sometimes consumption of pistachios can cause side effects with some medicines.

Young children – Pistachios should not be given to small children. Many times children eat pistachios without chewing them. That is, they swallow it in such a way that there is a risk of the whole pistachio or piece getting stuck in the throat. Sometimes in serious situations, the child may suffocate.
