A massive fire broke out at a godown located in the Kandla Special Economic Zone in Gandhidham city, Kutch district, on Friday. Fire tenders and authorities reached the site and doused the fire. Pictures shared from the factory shows massive blazes and the entire area engulfed in smoke. As of now, no casuality is reported.
Mukesh Chaudhary, Deputy Superintendent of Police, East Kutch, said, "We received information about the fire incident from the Gandhidham city of Kutch. Upon receiving the news about the blaze, we dispatched a team of fire tenders and a police team for dousing operations."
Fire breaks out in forest near Nashik's Pandavleni Cave
In another fire incident reported from Maharashtra on Friday, a fire broke out in a forest near the renowned Pandavleni Caves along Mumbai-Agra highway in Nashik district. As per the officials, no one was injured in the blaze that started at 1pm, though thicket in the area was gutted.
"The fire created panic among residents and people visiting nearby tourist sites like Pandevleni, Dadasaheb Phalke Memorial, Lord Buddha Park and water park.
It was doused sometime later and cooling operations are underway. The cause of the fire is being ascertained," the official informed.
