Lok Sabha Elections 2024: Presenting an example of sheer dedication for democracy, Ankit Soni, a voter who lost both his hands 20 years ago, exercised his franchise through feet at a polling booth in Gujarat’s Nadiad in the third phase of Lok Sabha Elections on Tuesday (May 7). He appealed to voters across the country where elections are held to come out and vote.
Soni, a graduate, had lost both of his hands due to electric shock two decades ago.
What did he say?
“I lost both my hands due to electric shock 20 years ago. With the blessings of my guru and teachers, I started drawing, then writing, then started going to school. I passed with good numbers at school. I did my graduation, then pursued CS, then MBA. I have been casting votes like this for the last several years. I appeal to the people to come out and cast their precious vote,” he said.
