A couple sustained injuries after a speeding BMW rammed into them in Ahmedabad's Sola district on Thursday. After the accident, the driver left the car at the site and ran away.
The police launched an investigation in which it was revealed that the vehicle was being driven by Satyam Sharma, the son of well-known builder Krishna Sharma. The investigation further revealed a liquor bottle in the glove compartment of the car. The incident took place near CIMS Hospital in Sola, Ahmedabad.
The police said that victims Amit Sindhav and his wife were out on a walk on Wednesday night when a speeding car coming from the railway over the bridge hit them. Sindhav, a resident of Sola, and his wife sustained serious leg injuries. Sharma abandoned his car in an open plot behind Vidyapeeth when bystanders chased him. According to the police, a case has been registered.
It is worth mentioning that Sharma owns several posh cars other than BMW and keeps driving the cars very fast. It is clear from his Instagram videos that Satyam is a habitual offender. Sometimes while driving the car extremely fast he and performing stunts while sitting on the bonnet of the car. In another video, a man was seen loading a gun from the trunk.
According to the police, both videos have been tracked down found and a case will be registered against him. When the police reached the builder's home the whole family had fled somewhere after locking the house. During the investigation, the police found a liquor bottle and glass along with a BJP case from the car. It is being said that a policeman immediately sat on it to hide the BJP case. Later, the car was taken to Sola police station.
