Gujarat Election Results 2024 Live: Amit Shah wins Gandhinagar, Congress clinches one seat

BJP leader and Union Home Minister Amit Shah wins Gandhinagar Lok Sabha constituency by over 7.44 lakh votes.

Congress' Geniben Nagaji Thakor clinched victory in the Banaskantha constituency seat with over 28,000 votes. 

As per the latest trends from the ECI, Union Home Minister Amit Shah is leading with a staggering margin of over 7,43,000 votes.

Earlier, Congress was leading in two seats, Banaskantha and Patan, however, the scenario has changed in the state. Since, the BJP's is now leading in Patan as well, the seat of Banaskantha is the only constituency left where the Congress party is ahead of the BJP.

BJP's Dabhi Bharatsinhji Shankarji has now taken the lead in the Patan constituency seat. Earlier, Congress party's Chandanji Talaji Thakori was leading the seat. 

As per the latest trends from ECI, BJP's candidate from Gandhinagar Lok Sabha seat Amit is currently leading with 6,37,104 votes. 

Apart from Rajkot and Vadodara, BJP has also won Valsad, Kachh, Amreli, Panchmahal, Mehsana, and Chhota Udaipur seats in Gujarat. 

BJP's candidates Parshottambhai Rupala and Dr Hemang Joshi have won the Rajkot and Vadodara seats. However, a tough fight between Congress and the BJP is still on in Patan and Banaskantha constituencies.

BJP candidate from Porbandar seat, Mansukh Mandaviya, is leading from the seat. However, BJP's Arjun Modhwadia has clinched the Assembly seat of Porbandar by a huge margin of over 1 lakh votes. 

BJP's Amit Shah is leading in Gandhinagar seat by over 268,000 votes after six rounds of counting.

As per the latest trends, BJP is leading on 23 seats out of 26 while Congress is ahead on three seats including Jamnagar, Junagadh and Patan. 

As per the latest trends, Congress JP Maaraviya has taken the lead in the Jamnagar constituency seat. From Ahmedabad East, BJP's Hasmukh Patel and Ahmedabad West, BJP's Dinesh Makwana are leading. 

As per the early trends, BJP has taken the lead in all the 25 seats out of 26. Union Home Minister Amit Shah is also leading from Gandhinagar constituency seat.

Sanand MLA Kanu Patel exudes confidence in Amit Shah's victory in Gandhinagar. ''Union Home Minister Amit Shah is going to win from here with a huge margin. We have set a very big target from Gandhinagar Lok Sabha and we are thinking of a lead of more than 10 lakhs,'' he said.

The lone seat of Surat directly fell into the BJP’s kitty after eight out of nine eligible candidates withdrew their nominations from the constituency, thus declaring BJP candidate Mukesh Dalal the winner unopposed.

According to the Election Commission of India (ECI), PM Modi's home state of Gujarat witnessed a voter turnout of 60.13 per cent during the elections for 25 of its 26 Lok Sabha seats.

The BJP is quite hopeful of repeating its 2019 and 2014 mammoth victories in the state, sweeping all 26 Lok Sabha seats. However, the Congress, in alliance with the AAP, is also hopeful of breaking its 10-year drought.
