A fake international call center was busted in Gujarat's Junagadh and ten people including women were arrested. This call center was operating with the intention of defrauding American citizens. Among the accused, nine are from Nagaland, and one is from Manipur.
During the investigation of this illegal call center, authorities seized Rs 3 lakh cash and goods worth Rs 8.50 lakh. The officials provided information on the case on Friday, and the suspects were arrested on Thursday. The investigation is still on.
These names came up in preliminary interrogation
The initial interrogations unveiled the participation of individuals from various locations. Among those involved are Harjitsinh Chhatrapalsinh Rana from Tali, Lakhtar, Surendranagar, Ahmedabad, along with Indrajitsinh Mahavirsinh Rana, Jayal Patel, and Digvijaysinh Gambhirsinh Rana from Tavi, Lakhtar. Isha Ranjit Vyas from Thane West, Maharashtra, was also implicated. Notably, Indrajitsinh Rana is the son of Mahavirsinh Rana, a retired Deputy Superintendent of Police from Junagadh.
The fraudulent operation was primarily headquartered in Ahmedabad, and it was being operated from Flat No. 601 of Eshan Platinum, located in the Lakshminagar area.
Laptop, mobile and iPad confiscated
Authorities present at the scene confiscated several laptops, mobile phones, and an iPad. Out of the ten individuals arrested, five were women. Officials stated that their operation primarily targeted unsuspecting American individuals with fraudulent activities.
