BMW hit & run case: Gujarat crime branch on Saturday arrested a 21-year-old Satyam Sharma, an accused of hit and run case from Dungarpur in Rajasthan, said an official on Monday. A couple sustained injuries after a speeding BMW rammed into them in Ahmedabad's Sola district on Thursday. After the accident, the accused left his BMW car at the site and ran away.
Earlier, the police launched an investigation in which it was revealed that the vehicle was being driven by Satyam Sharma, the son of well-known builder Krishna Sharma. The investigation further revealed a liquor bottle in the glove compartment of the car. The incident took place near CIMS Hospital in Sola, Ahmedabad.
The police said that victims Amit Sindhav and his wife were out on a walk on Wednesday night when a speeding car coming from the railway over the bridge hit them. Sindhav, a resident of Sola, and his wife sustained serious leg injuries. Sharma abandoned his car in an open plot behind Vidyapeeth when bystanders chased him. According to the police, a case has been registered.

When the police reached the builder's home the whole family had fled somewhere after locking the house.
