Five people drowned in Kamrol village of Talaja taluka, Bhavnagar, Gujarat two of whom were rescued, while three people died after their car got stuck in the gushing water, an official said on Monday. All three victims were from Pavathi village of Talaja taluk.
Two women and a child lost their lives in the accident.
The police personnel with the support of locals took them to the hospital where the doctor declared three people dead.
The bodies of the victims were sent to the government hospital in Talaja for post-mortem.
