In a shocking incident, a video of a youth allegedly tampering with the EVM is going viral in Mahisagar district of Gujarat. Police have registered the case and taken the youth into custody. This information has been given by District Election Officer and District Collector Neha Kumari. The viral video is said to be from Santrampur assembly constituency of Mahisagar district included in Dahod Lok Sabha seat. Vijay Bhabhor, the person who voted, made a live video on Instagram with the EVM and it went viral.
In the video, the young man is saying that this machine belongs to his father (EVM mere baap ka hai). The young man himself is seen pressing the button instead of the people voting and saying that the vote is done. He is also seen asking the people who voted to go back. In the video, the young man is also talking about going home with the EVM. Despite the ban on taking mobile phones to the polling booth, the young man arrived with the mobile phone and made a video with the EVM and was seen playing with the EVM like a toy.
After being embroiled in controversy, the BJP leader's son has now removed the video from social media. He removed the video from his Instagram ID. However, people had already downloaded it. This video is currently going viral on social media.
