Aadhaar reprint: Simple steps to do it

Even if residents who do not have registered mobile number can also "Order Aadhaar Reprint" using Non-Registered / Alternate Mobile Number.

You have lost, misplaced or want a new copy Adhaar card? Do not worry because it is very easy to get it reprinted. "Order Aadhaar Reprint" is a new service which was launched by UIDAI last year. Even if residents who do not have registered mobile number can also "Order Aadhaar Reprint" using Non-Registered / Alternate Mobile Number.  A nominal charge of Rs 50 has to be paid for “Order Aadhaar Reprint”.

Here are the steps you can follow to get Aadhaar reprint:

  1. Open http://www.uidai.gov.in or https://resident.uidai.gov.in
  2. Click on “Order Aadhaar Reprint”
  3. Enter your 12 digit Aadhaar Number (UID) or 16 digits Virtual Identification Number (VID)
  4. Enter the security code
  5. If you have registered mobile number, choose the option "I have TOTP” else click "If you do not have a registered mobile number, please check in the box"
  6. Enter OTP/TOTP received on the registered mobile number or the alternate number.
  7. Click on the checkbox against "Terms and Conditions". (Note: Click on hyperlink to see details)
  8. Click on "Submit" Button to complete OTP/TOTP verification
  9. On next screen, preview of the Aadhaar details will appear for verification by resident before placing the order for reprint
  10. Click on "Make payment". You will be re-directed to Payment Gateway page with payment options as Credit/Debit Card, Net banking and UPI
  11. After successful payment, receipt will get generated having digital signature which can be downloaded by resident in PDF format
  12. Resident will also get the Service Request Number via SMS
  13. Resident can track the status of SRN till dispatch of Aadhaar Letter on Check Aadhaar Reprint Request Status
  14. Resident can further track delivery status by visiting DoP website

Some other important details about Aadhaar Reprint:

1. You can use following payment modes to make the payment for "Order Aadhaar Reprint"

  • Credit Card
  • Debit Card
  • Net Banking
  • UPI

2. SRN is 28 digits Service Request Number which is generated after raising request for Order Aadhaar Reprint on our website. It will be generated every time whenever the request will be raised regardless whether payment is successful or not.

3. Airway Bill(ABW) number is the tracking number that is generated by DoP i.e. India Speed Post for the assignment/product that they deliver.

4. If you want to deliver your "Order Aadhaar Reprint" on different address, first you have to update your Aadhaar details by visiting nearest Enrollment center or Online update through SSUP portal.

5. After receiving order for Order Aadhaar Reprint from the resident UIDAI will handover printed Aadhaar Letter to DoP within 5 working days (excluding the date of request). Aadhaar Letter will be delivered using SPEED POST Service of Department of Post (DoP) in line with DoP delivery norms and Delivery Status may be tracked using DoP Status Track Services.
