Fact Check by Boom: A doctored image of All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) president Asaduddin Owaisi was floated online with a false claim that showed him holding a portrait of Hindu deity Lord Ram. In its fact check, BOOM found that Owaisi was originally holding a painting of Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar instead. Owaisi contested from the Hyderabad Lok Sabha constituency which went to polls on May 13 in the fourth phase of the general elections.
The photo is being shared on social media with a Hindi caption, which translates to, “When it seems that it will burst, even the best of people come in line!!”
