The investigation into the death of the famed Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput has raised several questions which remain unanswered even to this day. At the thick of things is Bihar IPS officer Vinay Tiwari who is also the SP of Patna city. After seperate investigations were launched by the Bihar and the Mumbai police departments, Vinay Tiwari travelled to Mumbai to unravel some facts of his own, only to find him quarantined by the BMC. This raised the political voices from both sides, claiming an unwillingness to work with each other. Tiwari, on his return, said that it was not he who was quarantined but the investigation into the death of Sushant Singh Rajput that was quarantined.
Now several Central investigation departments like CBI and Enforcement Directorate (ED) have gotten involved in the matter and started carrying thorough investigation as to whether there really was a misdemeanour into the death of Sushant Singh Rajput. Sushant's family has also been actively involved and have blamed the late actor's girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty as the reason for his death.
Amid all this rumour mills are running thick and fast. After the case was handed over to the CBI, there were talks of the IPS Vinay Tiwari returning to the investigation as he had been transferred to CBI on deputation to assist on the Sushant Singh Rajput death investigation.
CLAIM: IPS Vinay Tiwari is returning to the Sushant Singh Rajput death investigation as a deputation officer with CBI
Maharashtra BJP spokesperson Avadhut Wagh, had sent out a tweet with a cryptic message which signalled that the IPS officer could be returning to the investigation. Though his tweet was in Marathi, the english translation of the same would be, "The one who was forcefully quarantined and pushed out of Mumbai, is returning as the father." The person being talked about is the same IPS officer and the relevance of father is his deputation with the CBI.
Similar claims were doing rounds on WhatsApp and other social media platforms.
FACT CHECK: The claim is FALSE! Bihar DGP has denied any such reports.
Bihar Director General of Police Gupteshwar Pandey has rejected all claims of IPS Vinay Tiwari joining the CBI on deputation and assisting in the investigation. He has called these reports 'fake and without merit'.
