No negative effect on 2024 Lok Sabha elections
Ever since the Centre's surprise announcement of holding a special session of Parliament from September 18-22 was made, politics pundits and experts have been busy digging into the details of what could have probably prompted the government for such a move. While the buzz is that the government is likely to push the 'One Nation, One Election' in Parliament during the special session, ministers and leaders from the ruling alliance have remained tight lipped. According to few experts, upcoming assembly polls in states such as Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan and others could well be the reason behind government's sudden move. The government may also go for an early Lok Sabha elections if assembly results are not in BJP's favour. A gamble, the saffron party would want to win.
