Netflix announces Baahubali: The Beginning's prequel starring Rahul Bose, Mrunal Thakur and others

After Baahubali: The Beginning and Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, Netflix announced the web series of its prequel.

The web series of the film's prequel will be made in a collaboration between SS Rajamouli and Netflix. Its prequel series titled as Baahubali: Before the Beginning.

Going by the facts, today, Netflix currently serves a subscriber base of 137 million in 27 different languages around the world. The streaming giant entered the Asian market in early 2016. And now, will reach bigger heights with its latest projects.

Baahubali: Before the Beginning series is based on the first book of a proposed trilogy, The Rise of Sivagami. The key roles in the series will be played by versatile actors including Mrunal Thakur, Rahul Bose, and Atul Kulkarni. The cast also includes Vaquar Shaikh, Jameel Khan, Siddharth Arora, and Anup Soni.

The streaming giant, Netflix also confirmed the reported casting of Huma Qureshi in Leila, and announced that acclaimed filmmaker Deepa Mehta will handle the first two episodes.

Just to inform our readers, Baahubali is the highest-grossing franchise in Indian history so far.

This prequel series will likely release in 2019 on Netflix.
