Sacred Games
Actors Saif Ali Khan, Radhika Apte and Nawazuddin Siddiqui are receiving positive response for their web series Sacred Games. Showrunners Vikramaditya Motwane, Anurag Kashyap along with the stars are busy with the promotions. In the web series, Saif is seen playing a Sikh cop whereas Radhika essays the role of a RAW analyst. Nawaz is seen as Ganesh Gaitonde. While talking to a leading daily, the stars spoke about the show and their characters.
In an interview to Indianexpress.com, Anurag praised Nawaz and Radhika to heights saying that he can make the actors do anything on screen. On the other hand, Motwane said that he is very comfortable working with Kashyap and this was reason they came up with the crazy idea that one person will direct the first half and the second half will be directed by the other director.
It was being said that Nawaz’s character is similar to what he played in Raman Raghav but the actor didn’t agree. According to him, he is neither repeating himself nor his characters.
On a related note, Sacred Games marks the digital debut of Saif. Apart from the web series, Radhika and Nawaz have earlier worked together in Manjhi: The Mountain Man.
