It’s confirmed! Mouni Roy to feature in Ekta Kapoor’s web series Mehrunissa
It’s going to be a busy year ahead for TV actress Mouni Roy. The actress has recently wrapped up with Gold and is currently working on Brahmastra with Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor. Mouni will now be seen in Ekta Kapoor’s upcoming web series Mehrunissa. On Thursday, the actress shared a picture of a script on her Instagram story, which left her fans wondering. Today, we got the confirmation that Mouni will be working in the series, which is directed by Ken Ghosh.
The former Naagin is currently juggling between Akshay Kumar-starrer Gold and Brahmastra. She will be featuring in a web series based on the life of the Mughal Queen Mehrunissa, who was married to Emperor Jahangir. Rumours have it that the show will have either Rithvik Dhanjani, Mohit Raina or Arjun Bijlani as the male lead. With Mehrunissa, Mouni Roy will be making her web series debut. After she bade farewell to the popular Naagin TV series, fans were disappointed in Mouni’s absence from the small screen. Now, they will be delighted to see their favourite actress on all mediums of entertainment.
Mouni Roy shot to fame with her stint as Sati in popular mythological TV series Devon Ke Dev...Mahadev. She featured alongside Mohit Raina, who is now rumoured to be her boyfriend in real life.
On a related note, Mouni Roy walked the red carpet at Manish Malhotra’s social event Mijwan 2018. She wore a grey metallic saree by Manish Malhotra. Sharing the picture, she wrote, “My front row cliché ! Last night in this beautiful saree by Manish Malhotra.”
