Modi-Journey of a Common Man Trailer Out

After Vivek Oberoi starrer film on PM Narendra Modi, here comes the trailer of a web series on Prime Minister of India. Directed by 102 Not Out Umesh Shukla directorial, it is a biographical drama that will start streaming on Eros Now sometime in April. The three-minute long trailer stresses on how PM Modi prioritises the nation over everything else. The trailer also gives us a glimpse of PM Modi's childhood. 

The web series features Mahesh Thakur, Ashish Sharma and Faisal Khan in lead roles. Modi — Journey of a Common Man has been produced by Umesh Shukla, Ashish Wagh and Hitesh Thakkar and the screenplay is by Mihir Bhuta and Radhika Anand. Eros Now took to its official Twitter handle to share the trailer along with the caption, ''The journey of this common man will truly inspire you! Here’s presenting the official trailer of #ErosNowOriginal series, #Modi''.

Meanwhile, the trailer also throws light on 2002 Gujarat Riots in which we see pained Modi asking people not to discriminate people on the basis of religion. For unversed, during the riots, PM Modi was the state's Chief Minister.

The web series also has a poem penned by PM Modi in the form of a song. Director Umesh Shukla said that he found one of his poems quite suitable for a song. "When we were researching on our Prime Minister Narendra Modi, we came across beautifully written, thought-provoking poems written by him and felt that we must use one of his poems. So we used the poem Shyam Ke Rogan Rele and it has turned to be a hummable song,'' said the director.

On a related note, Omung Kumar's film PM Narendra Modi is all set to hit theatres on April 5, before Lok Sabha elections kick-start.
