Aamir Khan and Alia Bhatt in Shakun Batra’s Osho project?
Recent reports are saying that Kapoor and Sons director Shakun Batra is planning to helm a web series based on Bhagwan Rajneesh, who is popularly known as Osho. A report by a leading daily is also saying that if everything goes well, then he will make a web series for an international streaming channel. It also revealed that Aamir Khan is interested to be a part of this project.
The reports say, “Everyone knows what a great sense of script Aamir has. When he got to know about this one, it immediately piqued his interest. In fact, he is said to have visited Los Angeles, USA, to meet the officials of the streaming channel. This is definitely an important development."
"This project may happen before Mahabharat," added the source. Giving more insights about the projects, the source revealed that Alia Bhatt might be onboard for the projects considering the bond she has with Shakun post Kapoor & Sons. "She, too, has loved it. It’s not known whether she will be a part of the project, but she believes it’s a great script," the report reads.
If the reports are true, then Aamir Khan and Alia Bhatt will be sharing the screen space for the first time in this project. Meanwhile, Aamir Khan is busy shooting for Thugs Of Hindostan while Alia Bhatt is working with Ayan Mukerji and Ranbir Kapoor in Brahmastra.
In an interview with leading daily, Aamir Khan revealed that Fatima Sana Shaikh is the central character of Thugs Of Hindostan. He said, “Even in Thugs of Hindostan, the central role is the girl who is being played by Fatima Sana Shaikh. The story of the film is about her."
Thugs Of Hindostan is helmed by Vijay Krishna Acharya and bankrolled by Yash Raj Films banner. It is slated to hit the screens during Diwali this year.
