Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai actress Mohena Kumari has been winning hearts as Keerti in the show. The dancer turned actress is all set to take a big plunge in her personal life as she is getting married to Suyesh Rawat in October this year. While fans are excited to see the actress dazzle in her wedding outfit, there is also bad news attached to it. Mohena Kumari Singh has decided to quit acting after her marriage and is planning to settle down In Dehradun with her husband. Mohena has already said her goodbyes to the popular show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai post leap but now she has revealed the real reason about her exit which is her marriage.
Talking to Bombay Times about her upcoming marriage and her decision to quit acting, Mohena shared, “Post marriage, I will say goodbye to acting and Mumbai. My life is all set to take a 180 degree turn. I am excited and nervous at the same time. Even my industry friends were taken aback with my decision, but that’s the kind of person I am. I follow my heart. I have taken several leaps of faith in my life and this is the biggest so far. Soon I have to start shopping for my wedding and will be travelling to various countries for it.”
Mohena also added that she is leaving the city fully satisfied since she came here to become a choreographer and then act, now that she has ticked all the boxes, she is ready to leave and fulfil another dream which is to live on a mountain. She said, “Since childhood, I have wanted to live on a mountain. I didn’t come to Mumbai to become a superstar; I wanted to dance, choreograph and act. I have fulfilled those dreams, and I am leaving the city fully satisfied. Having said that, I won’t stop working after marriage and will keep my hustle on.”
In October last year, Mohena had her roka ceremony which took place in Rewa. Later, the couple had a grand engagement in Goa. Sharing details about her wedding rituals, she revealed, “The sangeet is on October 13 and the wedding will take place on October 14 in Haridwar. A reception and my bidaai will take place on November 9 and 10 in Rewa.”
For the unversed, Mohena and Suyesh’s relationship has been arranged by her brother. She said, “My brother told his brother about me. The families liked each other and here we are. I have always wanted an arranged marriage. I would have never got married to someone in the industry, as I don’t think that I would have found a like-minded person.”
Well, fans are definitely going to miss their favorite actress on the small screen.
