Recalling the painfl memories, the actress revealed that she wasn't paid her dues. Despite shooting for 20 hours a day, she had to struggle for her money. In an interview, she revealed that almost 90 per cent of the actors suffer the same as they sign one-sided contracts.
Talking about her first TV show Choti Bahu, the actress said that she had to make a lot of financial compromises. She had to even sell off her house to pay EMIs. I had to sell off my house and property because I couldn’t pay off my EMIs. After crying my heart out, the production house finally called me up for negotiation,'' Rubina said.
Rubina says that this trend has existed for a long time and newcomers have no options other than to comply with the rules of big production houses. ''Well, this trend was set long before I got into the industry, and I had to comply because I was fresh off the boat. Later, with understanding of the work ethics and legal knowledge, I realised that almost 90% of the actors, including me, sign one-sided contracts, favouring the production house, '' said the actor.
