Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah fame Disha Vakani has been in the limelight even though she has disappeared from the show more than a year back. The actress played the role of Dayaben in the show which went on to become a sensation among the fans with viewers of every age turning into a fan of the actress’ spectacular acting skills and comic timing. While the viewers loved her in the show, she decided to leave Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah after she delivered her first baby in September 2017. Ever since the actress has been in the headlines for her comeback in the show. As we wait for her to return as Dayaben in the show, let's have a look at her love story with husband Mayur.

The popular actress met Mumbai-based Gujarati businessman Mayur and instantly felt a connection. On the other hand, Mayur had also revealed to a website earlier that the day he met Disha Vakani, he knew she is the one. However, the duo wanted to give time to their relationship and understand each other in a better way which is why they didn’t rush into marriage. Soon after knowing each other well, Disha and Mayur decided to tie the knot. They had a small and low-key wedding in 2015. Disha's brother Mayur Vakani, who plays Dayaben's brother Sunder in the show, had confirmed the news of the actor getting married and revealed to the fans that he is from a non-filmy background.

Disha’s wedding was attended by all her co-star from Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah show. From Dilip Joshi aka Jethalal, Bhavya Gandhi aka Tappu to Shailesh Lodha aka Taarak Mehta, everyone was present to shower the actress with their blessings.

Two years after her marriage to Mayur, in September 2017 Disha Vakani was blessed with her first child which is a girl. At first, Disha decided to take a break from her long-running most popular show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah in order to take care of her new-born baby. Later, it was said that Disha has bid her goodbye to the show. Reports also suggest that it was Disha’s husband Mayur who asked her to leave the show and return only on conditions of being paid more as well as given flexible shooting timing.
